How To Use Chlorine Tablets?

Owning a pool means spending a lot of time keeping the water fresh and clean. Whether you’re learning how to skim away leaves and bugs, or finding a way how to kill algae in your pool, keeping things out of your water can be the crucial part as a pool owner.

If you want to actually enjoy your pool, then you have to keep it clean right? No one wants to swim in a dirty pool. You can skim the water, scrubbing the walls, cleaning the filter and floor, but is that all? Keeping your water visibly clean can be achievable but you need to focus on the other side of pool care.

You need to take care of the fungus, algae and other microbes that will thrive in your swimming pool. To stop its growth and keep your pool clean, it is advisable to use Chlorine tablets. The disinfectant agents in the chlorine tablets will fight against the microbes and other contaminants.

How to Use Chlorine Tablets?

All you need to do is add the chlorine tablet and let it dissolve in water and dispense. You can’t add too much chlorine tablets as it will change the PH level of your pool. For instance, if you have a 7,000-gallon pool, you can go for 1-2 tablets per week. It is recommended to follow this formula: Rounded up Pool Size/5,000=number of chlorine tablets needed.

Remember add does not mean throwing. You can’t let the chlorine tablet dissolve in the pool as it may stain and leave marks. You can use a floating dispenser, skimmer or a feeder to slowly release the chlorine into the water.

Like other disinfectant cleaning products, chlorine tablets are a great way to sanitize the pool. So enjoy your swimming with no worries!
